Hi! I’m Akshay, who is behind the voice of Homesteading Place.
I grew up in San Joaquin, California, spending most of my childhood at my grandpa’s homestead.
My grandpa and grandma were the real homesteaders who raised animals, grew vegetables, and made bread, cakes, and preserved foods for a long time.
After graduation in 2016, I grounded my head in the corporate office for nearly 3 years.
I had to struggle between office work and my girlfriend’s romantic wishes. Finally, lockdown began, and there I regained my senses to the real thing.
My passion for writing and sustainable life!
It wasn’t that easy to change my career, but I followed my happiness and stayed by my decision after convincing my parents.
I’m a homesteader now, and inherited my passion and genes.
Well, it’s a 5-acre plot of land where I have built a homestead, or you can say a farmstead. I raise chickens, quails, rabbits, Dexter cattle, sheep, and grow vegetables there throughout the year.
Homesteading Place is a part of my life where I share my learnings and experiences regarding animal raising, gardening, and sustainable living.
